I’m a mother of two. Graphic Designer, artist, passionate about children’s decor, especially children’s murals.

I’m the cleaner, the cook, the gardener, the taxi driver, the builder, the carpenter.
I leave the plumbing to Stewart (my husband).

After trying for a baby for 11 years  and after a second attempt at IVF we had our first child, a boy. Two years later, ‘Wham Bam Thank You Mam’ along came our little girl quite naturally and much less expensively. My time from then on has been dedicated to being with them at home, and now as they are much more independant, (I am gradually training them to make me cups of tea) my creative passion has been directed into my mural business.

I have 3 websites decicated to children’s wall decor.
My newest one Wallstory Murals is the one which has all my own children’s Paint by Number mural designs.  This website came about after working on my first two sites  The Magic Mural Factory and Murals for kids rooms .

You brighten my day

Sometimes I get bogged down wih the internet and need badly to make something with my hands. Like these fine fellows.

I like to ‘make things’ out of junk. I like to get my kids envolved in making things.
I like to create silly things, and I don’t take life or art too seriously.

I like to laugh with my kids.
We made this together.

We live in France, in the Charente.
We struggle to make a living, but it’s worth it for the freedom and space we enjoy, not to mention the layed back French way of life.
The kids can roam freely on their bikes and enjoy the kind of freedom we had as children growing up in Zimbabwe.

You can read Stewart my husbands blog, A night on the tiles .
A blog about the madness of living and working in France

Thanks so much for featuring my artwork! What a great website you have. Love your found object sculptures- I also get the urge to take out a hammer and make things. Check out my tutorial on aluminum can flowers:

Wow Fiona! Congrats on your fab website.

It’s amazing how often falling preggers naturally after years of struggling and IVF happens!!!! The same thing happened to one of my cousins. I’m so glad for you both that you have your little brood and you all look so happy too!

My heart sometimes aches for those carefree teenage days back in Zim.

    Cheers for now
    Shannon 🙂

I tried to follow you, but I can’t figure it out. I clicked the button on the top tight of the screen, but I’m not sure that’s enough. I like to subscribe to blogs by email. I’m not too ‘clever’ with the workings of the wordpress blog either.

Trying to keep up with everything out there is mind boggling at times. Just a good thing that no one care hear me from inside the computer in cyber space while I am trying to figure out all the tech stuff….lololol
The email notifications are at the top right just under the box of the RSS feed…
        have a blessed day
