My Robot Mural
“My Robot”
My robot must rate as my favorite toy,
A wonderful, whirring, mechanical joy.
My robot can talk, but he’d much rather sing,
Or go to the park and play on the swings!
My robot is colourful and very astute.
For instance this week he was learning the flute.
My robot’s adept at a number of tests,
Like doing my homework or folding my vests!
My robot tells jokes that will tickle your sides,
Or spin a good story and much more besides.
And with a small spanner I always keep handy,
I unbolt his head to store all my candy!
Robot Fun
The fun loving robot mural has gone into colours that will suit both boys, girls and baby rooms.
What do you think of the colours? Too bright?
Please leave your comment as your input is important to me.

Stage 2 of The Robot Custom Designed Mural
This robot themed mural is for the daughters Myrinda of Sweet Girl Boutique who suggested a robot themed mural for her two little girls bedroom.
The rough sketches have been done . You can see them here.
Now it’s time to put the sketches into colour, and here they are.
These first txo above are intended to go above each little girls bed
These cuties are intended as a shelf hanger

Playful robot puppies frolic anywhere in the room
This shy little robot is for a hidden corner waiting to be discovered
Little Robot dog guards a door or jumps up against a piece of furniture
Shy little robot peeksout from behind a door of furniture
The next stage will be for me to produce the final artwork with the colours marked with their corresponding numbers. The pattern will be printed and packaged with enough transfer paper to trace the design onto the wall.

Custom Robot Mural In Progress
I’ve been having such fun!
A few weeks ago Dawn from Nursery Murals and More hosted a giveaway custom mural from her site for me.
The winner was Myrinda of Sweet Girl Boutique who suggested a robot themed mural for her two little girls bedroom.
She doesn’t have much free wall space that isn’t taken up with the two beds, various pieces of furniture and door and window. We decided to design mini murals that could be used in various places around the room
Here are the first sketches.
The next stage will be to draw them up with colour.
The first two girly robots will go above each bed

These two cuties below can be used as a ‘shelf hanger’ or above a bureau (this will need a bit of tweeking to make it work)
Robot dogs for anywhere in the room along the floorline

This little doggy robot below is a ‘doorhugger or next to a piece of furniture

I see this shy little robot being half hidden in come corner waiting to be discovered

Peekaboo doorhugger or out from behind the bureau

Mini murals could be combined to make fun little robot scenes

This one is a bit scatty…She’s my kinda girl.
Well that’s it so far.
I’d love to hear your comments and suggestions if you have any.
I always welcome any kind of constructive input.
Keep an eye on my blog for the next stage of the design process.

So don’t be shy…I don’t generally bite!
Winner Of Custom Mural Design Competition Announced
Boy was it hard picking a winner for this Children’s Mural Contest. Everyone had such great ideas!!
Thanks to Dawn of Nursery Murals and More for hosting my custom children’s mural competition.
She has been a delight to work with, and I hope to do more joint ventures with her in the future.
We decided we liked the robot idea the best.
So Congratulations Miranda Dixon aka JustMyRinda or you may know her by her Twitter name: @fabrichound.
I will be working with Miranda designing a paint by number mural for her children in a Robot theme and then incorporating this new theme into our Children’s mural selection at Wallstory Murals.
Thank you everyone for being a part of this fun giveaway.
We will be offering more fun things in the future, so stay tuned!
