Ballet Room Theme ideas for little girls rooms
Ballet themed bedding is easy to find and a popular theme that suits both tots and tweens.
An enormous array of duvet covers and quilts can be found with the most delicious designs.
Tutu’s and Ballet Slippers
All this ballet bedding calls for decorations in the bedroom based on costumes from your favorite ballet.
With all the beautiful costumers that come with ballet and dance, decorating ideas for a ballet beadroom are halfway there.
One of the simplist and effective ideas is to display your little girl’s tutu and ballet slippers (or any other ballet costumes) on the wall.
Or try hanging her tutu on a personalized, monogrammed wooden clothes hanger with her ballet toe shoes on the floor in an attractive arrangement.
Quick, easy and inexpensive
Colours
Soft cream, powder pink, lilac and gold are great colours for a DIY ballerina themed bedrooms. Basically any pastel colours will work. That’s not to say that modern ballerina bedroom decorating ideas using fairy ballerinas bedding sets in bold colours would not be interesting and fun.
Tween girls might prefer a bolder look rather than fluffy pastel feel.
Ballet Murals You Can Paint Yourself
Paint by Number Mural designs are easy to do and these
ballet mini murals won’t take up a lot of room yet create a focal point in a ballet themed bedroom.

How to make a Bird Mobile
Summer tweets Bird mobile
I just love anything to do with birds when it comes to decor so I thought I’d share this bird mobile project with you that I can across today on The Red Thread.
I’ve featured a bird mobile before here, but this one is so cute too, and worthy of note.
Make it as a gift for a baby shower or create it with your child using up old scraps of fabric. A great rainy day project that can be done in stages if necessary for your own child’s room. Mind you it’ll be just as lovely in an adult room too or hanging in a tree on a warm evening amongst some fairy lights.
You will need
- Newspaper
- Scissors
- Sicky tape
- PVA glue
- Brightly coloured fabric scraps
- Rattan cane hoops (from craft shops). 20 – 24cm [8 - 9.5 inches] in diameter
- 4 -5 cm [2 inches] diameter styrofoam balls – optional
- Embroidery thread
- Long needle
It’s not hard.

New Topiary tree and Name Banner Mural
Introducing our latest DIY mural design for baby nurseries and little girls bedrooms.
These ‘oh so girlie’ topiary trees would look great either side of a door like below, or either side of her cot/crib or bed.
The paint by number mural kit comes with a personalised name banner for above the bed or anywhere in the room.
The beauty of this design is that it will look wonderful in a newborn baby nursery, but yet will not be out of place as she grows into a little lady
You can order this DIY paint by number mural from Wallstory Murals for UK and European buyers
or
The Magic Mural Factory for USA and Canadian buyers
